THOUGHT - GOD'S MIND
Scripture Reading - Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. KJV
Quite often we (ihlcc) have heard people wonder about separating the voice of God from the voice of their own spirit. The primary voice of God that you will hear is on the inside of you in the spirit realm. What causes some confusion is that this is the same location where you will hear the voice of your own spirit. This central location within your spirit is considered by many as your spiritual heart. Yes, a spiritual heart not to be mistaken with the physical heart that pumps blood. This spiritual heart typically engages the mind of man when communicating this spiritual voice called “thought”. This conversation of spiritual being to spiritual being is scripturally known as “thought” and often referred to by man as a voice within their head. In this article we will focus on the conversation of God as opposed to a conversation with your own mind. It is clearly revealed in the main scripture that “God has thoughts” and “man has thoughts”. Yes, God’s “thoughts” are a lot higher than the “thoughts” of the natural men, so keep in mind that this Old Testament scripture was written before men were born-again. Since that time the reborn spiritual man has become a Christian. All Christians are alive unto God and possess within them the mind of Christ as noted in 1 Corinthians 2:16. This spiritual mind of Christ is the exact replica of Jesus Christ who is made unto us wisdom. Yes, now every Christian can easily understand the difference between their own mind and the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is completely tied to the words of the Holy Bible which are the “thoughts” of God. Yes, specifically, the teachings and facts of the New Testament because those words are based on the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. We, as disciples of Jesus, must have “His mind” which is “His thoughts” which is “His Word”. The New Testament epistles are written from that same mind of Christ through His expression in the mind of His Holy Apostles. Yes, the mind of Christ Jesus are the “thoughts of God” so when hearing a scripture in your heart (some will say your mind) you instantly know this could be the voice of God. The reason it is not automatically the Lord is because it must be mentioned in the same context of it’s origin in the Holy Bible. We have seen Satan quote scriptures out-of-context but the Lord Jesus never will. Since Jesus is the Living Word of God it is impossible for Him to ever mis-quote (or mis-speak) of Himself. That basically means when the scripture comes in the spirit of His Love it should be considered the voice of God inspired by God’s Holy Spirit. Amen!
